General Information

Chain Lubrication

With a TEKAWE - Chain Lubrication System, there are different methods of applying the lubricant onto the chain.
Customer-specific requirements and wishes are taken into account.

Areas of application

Chain conveyor systems can be found in all sectors of our economy.
They transport engine blocks and body parts in large car factories, sides of cattle in slaughterhouses and parcels in post offices. Wood processing companies use chain conveyors to transport incoming logs outside and finished chipboard in the hall. Chain conveyors move steel blocks through annealing furnaces, tins through paint drying ovens and ice cream packs through ice cream machines.

A wide variety of chain types and conveyor systems have been developed for the most diverse tasks, all of which require regular maintenance in order to protect them from premature wear and to prevent unpleasant breakdowns. Chain pins, sprockets, bearings and drives must be adequately lubricated. Depending on the design of the conveyor system and the operating conditions, oils or fluid greases can be used as lubricants.

Spraying or dripping

For manufacturers and operators of chain conveyor systems, the selection of the safest and most economical lubrication system is therefore of the utmost importance.

Optimum lubrication is achieved by an automatic TEKAWE - Chain Lubrication System. Automatic systems can be controlled by pulses from sensors on the chain or sprocket.

Lubrication is carried out by oil spray units which contain a metering valve for oil metering and a throttle screw for adjusting the spray air. Spray units can be equipped with flat jet or round jet nozzles.

Special APPLICATORS

Contact lubrication with moulded parts

We offer customised applicators for precise lubrication with the aid of moulded parts, precisely tailored to your application. These applicators are available in various materials such as sponge or foam rubber or PU. The medium is fed directly into the applicator through a ball-bearing shaft.
Our solution ensures constant lubrication, regardless of speed fluctuations or chain pitches, and is ideal for roller chains, conveyor chains and electrical contact strands of any size and design.

The advantages are:

  • Longer chain life and cost savings
  • Simple and effective to use
  • Flexible and environmentally friendly
